Customer company requirement

A historic company specializing in galvanic treatments, in 2013 it was the first to underline the importance of structuring its systems with a view to maximizing consumption abatement.

The main needs expressed, and verified by Albasystem, were:

Fuel consumption reduction.
Automation of the dynamics of energetic functioning.
Guarantee of electrical continuity of the plants in case of absence of an electric network.
Optimal integration of the existing 200 kWp photovoltaic system with the new system.
Production of hot water for the production process and air conditioning.
Create efficiency in the energy production process.

Project objective

Following a detailed preliminary analysis of the company's production process and the heating system, Albasystem defines an energy redevelopment project relating to the energy consumption aspects present in the company, intervening both in the management of the production process and in the air-conditioning of the industrial premises, both in the creation of operational and management automation, thus contributing to the parallel decrease in personnel costs.

Interventions carried out with the installation of the Aspecindustry system:

Installation of the Aspecindustry system, the first version for the automatic management of energy, air-conditioning and continuity processes (updated in 2018 with the latest version of Aspec software).

Installation of a cogenerator for the production of electricity and hot water of 140 kWe.

Modified production lines to receive water heaters to replace electric resistance heaters.

Modification of the heating system, with installation of an industrial low temperature air/water system.

Cogenerator implemented fo the generator set function.

BENEFITS OBTAINED

Through the "turnkey" intervention, the energy dynamics of the production process and of the modulating cogeneration were taken into operation, integrating them with photovoltaic system, thus achieving the objective of maximum effiency and self-consumption.

This allowed the achievement of the following benefits:

Electricity requirement coverage 64%. Thermal requirement coverage 78%.

Open system able to dialogue with other systems present (or installable in the future) and automatic processes for information transfer and automatic control of machinery.

Cogenerator generator set with mechanical switching.

Heating optimization.

Acquisition of white certificates automatically, thanks to a controlled thermal dissipation in the envisaged thresholds.

Total energy savings in economic terms compared to a traditional systems.

Greatr control of production energy costs.

Independent, local or remote control system.

Automatic and intelligent system management (first Aspecindustry version).

Savings on personnel costs (man-hours) for the control of the thermal part, and by generator set of the cogenerator, for the electrical part.
